Saturday night Chris took me to the traveling tour of Wicked. It was amazing. I was hoping that Chris would have fun at the theater, as he's never been to a large scale production, he was excited to take me and really really enjoyed himself.
The music was so powerful, there is a lot to be said about live music and orchestration. The set was beautiful and the effects were also amazing. I highly recommend this musical to everyone and anyone. What surprised me most was the complexity of the plot. I had no idea what the story was about except the two witches from The Wizard of Oz. Needless to say, it takes a great view on how all of the characters came to be and gives the viewer a different idea on each character. Where you once felt anger towards one, you soon found yourself rooting for them. The Tin Man and the Scarecrow's background are proposed and it was, well, just amazing!!!
I am so grateful for a wonderful husband that is willing to take me out to the theater!
aw man i'm jealous! i've only been to a couple opera's in salt lake but i've never really been to anything very big. i really want to see wicked, too! i'm glad you had a good time! i bet you guys are having a blast out there, is it fun seeing new places?
